Penza, 9 December 2011. PenzaNews. 76 crimes were solved in the Penza region due to complex “Safe city” from the beginning of 2011. The deputy chief of the department of the government of the Penza region of preventive maintenance of the offenses and interaction with law enforcement authorities Zyakizhan Kuryaev informed about it during session of the interdepartmental commission on preventive maintenance of offenses on Thursday, December, 8th.

He noticed also that thanks to video observation installed in streets in 2011 it was possible to detain 15 citizens who were wanted and also to find several stolen cars.

Zyakizhan Kuryaev said: “As a part of the long-term target program on territory of the Penza region 62 videocameras and three points of video observation were mounted. Over 27 km of fiber-optical communication lines were mounted”.

He informed that by December, 1st the crime rate in the Penza region is 1 027 crimes per 100 thousand people.

The deputy chief of the department said: “This indicator is one of the lowest in the Volga federal district”.

Zyakizhan Kuryaev urged local authorities not to relax and continue active work directed on the prevention of growth criminality in region of.

Zyakizhan Kuryaev said: “Annual financing of the regional program on improvement of the system of preventive maintenance of offenses is 26 million rubles. 21 million rubles, or 80 % of it was used. Thus there are municipal programs in each area of the region. The worst realization of the programme is in Kuznetsk, Maloserdobinsky and Kamensky areas”.

He urged the officials to consolidate their efforts with actions of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and organize successful interaction between various departments.

Besides, during the session which took place under the chairmanship of the vice-president of the government – the head of department of the government of the Penza region on preventive maintenance of offenses and interaction with law enforcement authorities Sergey Zlatogorsky, questions of rendering of the social help to families and children, being in poor social condition and participations in preventive maintenance of offenses of enterprise community were considered.
