Penza, 13 December 2011. PenzaNews. 59 pedestrian crossings were put to rights in the Penza region after the checks which were held as a part of “Hunting for zebra. All-Russia pedestrian spot check”.

The department of propagation of traffic police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Penza region said: “372 pedestrian crossings have already been inspected. 1 legal and 8 official and persons were brought to administrative responsibility for non-observance of the requirements of the maintenance and arrangement of the crossings”.

Now 99 cities where 915 dangerous pedestrian crossings were revealed joined the action. The main infringements are the absence of corresponding traffic signs and disorganization of automobile movement.
