Penza pilgrims visited the relics of Poland

Penza, 19 December 2011. PenzaNews. The pilgrim group consisting of the residents Nizhniy Novgorod and Penza, and also parishioners of Nikolo-Ugreshsky monastery situated near Moscow led by the archbishop of Nizhniy Novgorod and Arzamas George, the bishop of Penza and Kuznetsk Veniamin and abbot Ioann (Rubin) visited the relics of Poland.

According to the press-service of diocesan department, the pilgrims visited temples of Warsaw, Bialystok, and also a monastery on a grief Grabarka and the Supraslsky monastery during their trip.

The press-service said: “The trip finished in the village Belovezha where one of the most beautiful temples of Poland is situated. The temple has the unique iconostasis, there are only three such iconostases in the world, one is in Poland, two others are in Russia”.

Pilgrims got acquainted with customs of Poland and architecture of Polish temples which have many modern elements.
