The indicator of infantile death rate decreased by 27% in the Penza region this year

Penza, 23 December 2011. PenzaNews. The indicator of infantile death rate in the Penza region was 5.6% during 11 months 2011 that is 27 % less than for the similar period of 2010. The deputy minister of public health services and social development Ivan Malkin informed about it during the session of the regional government on Thursday, December, 22nd.

Ivan Malkin said: “During last 5 years the indicator of infantile death rate decreased1.5 times in the region. Realization of the program “birth certificate” promotes it. The quality of medical service for pregnant women was improved, pregnant women were provided with additional medicines”.

The press-service of the government of the Penza region informs that money which was allocated in the limits of the program “birth certificate” were spent on the modern medical equipment for the sum more than 188 million roubles.
