Penza, 12 January 2012. PenzaNews. 14 969 crimes were registered in Penza region in 2011 which is 11.8% lower than in 2010. This statement was made by Head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Penza region Lieutenant General of Justice Oleg Troshin during a press conference on Thursday, January 12.

“In 2011 there were 63 murders which is 25% less than in 2010; 62 crimes under Article 111, para. 4, of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Willful infliction of heavy bodily harm resulting in involuntary manslaughter” which is a 3% increase, 40 rapes which is a 30% decrease,” he explained.

According to Oleg Troshin, his office investigated and submitted to courts 1 335 criminal cases in 2011.
