This was announced in a statement made by Bishop Veniamin of Penza and Kuznetsk during his meeting with the journalists on Thursday, January 12. “A process of division of all eparchies into three or four parts is currently underway in Russia. An appropriate decision is to be taken by the Patriarch and the Holy Synod. Boundaries are also to be set by the Patriarch,” said Bishop Veniamin.

He noted that Penza eparchy could be subject to reorganization already this year.
