Every fifth crime in the Penza region committed by drunken people

Penza, 20 January 2012. PenzaNews. 20 % of crimes in the Penza region are committed by the people who are in alcohol intoxication. Chairman of Legislative Assembly of the region Alexander Gulyakov drew policemen’s attention to this fact during board session concerning the results of work of the Department of Interior Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Penza region in 2011 which took taken place on Friday, January 20.

“In 2011 relative density of crimes committed in alcohol intoxication increased by 4.5 % in comparison with 2010,” he specified.

The speaker of the regional parliament underlined especially that in 2012 policemen should speed up essentially work on preventive maintenance of drunkenness among the population of the Penza region.
