Penza, 20 January 2012. PenzaNews. 60 complaints on actions of police officers were received by the representative under human rights in the Penza region in 2011. Ombudsman of the region Svetlana Pinishina informed about it during board session concerning the results of work of the Department of Interior Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Penza region in 2011 which took taken place on Friday, January 20.

“Despite positive results of work of the Department of the Interior Ministry of Russia for the Penza region in 2011, the number of complaints to actions of police officers increased. There were only 48 complaints in 2010,” she said.

“Most people are indignant with refusal of law enforcement bodies in excitation of the criminal case and inadequate execution of functions by police officers,” Svetlana Pinishina specified.
