Second session of children’s camp for orphans and invalids finished in Penza

Penza, 26 January 2012. PenzaNews. The second session of adaptable children’s camp for orphans and invalids “Yellow submarine” finished in Penza on Wednesday, January 25. Its motto was “And what can I do?”.

According to Maria Lvova-Belova, the director of regional public organization “Blagovest”, participants of change of a steel 42 children from the Penza children's home №3, Nizhny Lomov orphan house and large families.

As she said, within the limits of action the trainings directed on development of the person, communicative skills and self-appraisal increase, and also intellectual games have been organized.

“Besides, it was offered to children to develop independently simple projects which they have presented to final day of camp,” the curator of the session said.

Maria Lvova-Belova has specified that children had been prepared the projects devoted to the organization of the help to older persons, кураторству over younger, to action carrying out on attraction of attention of the public for social problems, installation of ramps in Bottom Lomove, and also to gardening of area Arbekovo and children's playground installation.

“The second session showed huge potential of our children. At correct work at them much can turn out. And, the main thing, — they have set an example extraordinary compassion, mercy and mutual aid. For example, children from children's home №3 helped children-invalids, endowing participation in interesting actions,” she explained.

The interlocutor of agency has paid attention to words of one of participants of camp which at a farewell party has told that it “liked to think”.

“It is very important. Children should understand that they are capable to change life to the best, to become is more self-assured and not to be afraid of difficulties,” the organizer of the camp summed up.

The adaptable children's camp for orphans and invalids “Yellow submarine” has passed for the first time in the Penza region in the summer of 2011. The idea of its carrying out belongs to the Moscow studio of social designing “2ГА”. The offtaker of the project is the Penza regional public organization “Blagovest” with support of the government of region and a city administration.

The project was named “the Yellow submarine” because children’s home is very similar to the submarine: the closed space and strict hierarchy. Assistance in socialization of orphans and preparation for adult life became the purpose of the camp.
