Pneumonia cases increase because of frosts in Penza, Alexander Dmitriev

Penza, 1 February 2012. PenzaNews. Pneumonia cases increase in the Penza region because of abnormal frosts. The head of regional government Federal service of supervision in sphere of public health services and social development (Rospotrebnadzor) Alexander Dmitriev informed about it during the press conference on Wednesday, February, 1.

“75 - 94 cases of pneumonia are registered weekly. It’s direct consequence of overcooling,” Alexander Dmitriev said.

He added also that chilblain is likely to happen owing to long stay outside.

“High probability of chilblain is at temperature below -20°C and also at 0°C,” the head of the department said.
