Penza, 9 February 2012. PenzaNews. More than 3 thousand children of the Penza region had rest and treatment in January, 2012.

“31 day stay camps at schools and 2 at centers of after-classes activities where 1058 children spent their holidays,” explained Anna Leshchenko, the main specialist of the department of information support and analytical work of the Ministry of Education of the region.

She added that Penza regional public organization “Blagovest” organized camp for 53 children-invalids.”

“314 children spent vacations in sanatoria “Niva” and “Nadezhda.” More than 1 570 took part in a ski hike lasting many days during winter vacation,” the spokeswoman specified.

According to Anna Leshchenko, it is planned to organize 25 camps of day stay where 500 first-graders will spent their holidays in February.
