In the Penza region on 75 thousand rubles the doctor convicted of bribery is fined

Penza, 14 February 2012. PenzaNews. The Penza regional convicted the woman working as a local doctor-therapist of Bashmakovsky central regional hospital for two bribes taken.
“In May, 2011 the doctor put doubtful data on disease in a card of patient desired to get fictitious sick-list. The general practitioner received 500 rubles bribe for it,” informed Tatyana Ostrovskaya, the senior assistant to the public prosecutor of the Penza region.
She also has added that in June, 2011 the doctor received 1.5 thousand rubles bribe.
“The court delivered guilty verdict to woman for two crimes under part 3 para 290 of the criminal code of Russian Federation “Taking Bribe” and appointed punishment in the form of 75 thousand rubles penalty. Besides, the general practitioner was deprived the right to work as a doctor for a period of 2.5 years,” the spokeswoman specified.
