Penza, 15 February 2012. PenzaNews. Officers of Traffic Police of Interior Ministry of Russia for the Penza region prevented 1 778 pedestrians’ infringements of traffic regulations during operative-preventive action “Pedestrian.”

“During action 211 pedestrian crossings were inspected. 37 determinations were issued on the revealed infringements for non-observance of requirements on traffic safety of pedestrian crossings 4 official and one legal body faced administrative responsibility,” informed the press-service of traffic police.

These measures allowed to decrease the number of accidents with participation of pedestrians in the territory of the region.

“At the same time, it was decided to prolong actions aimed at preventions of accidents with participation of pedestrians in territory of the regional center due to increase in number of such road accidents in Penza,” informed the press-service.
