Computer tomograph started in Penza diagnostic center

Penza, 24 February 2012. PenzaNews. The computer tomograph cost about 34 million rubles, bought under the program of modernization of public health services started in diagnostic center of Penza regional clinical hospital of named after N.N. Burdenko.

According to Minister of Health and Social development of the Penza region Vladimir Stryuchkov, new computer tomograph is a multiscanner with possibility of simultaneous data gathering of 32 cuts and different high characteristics.

“This device approaches for research of brain and all body, including formation of images of heart and vessels. Applied multicut technology allows to look through the data in any projection without loss of quality of the image,” the spokesman said.

He admitted that high quality of the image is combined with a low share of irradiation.

“The tomograph working in the diagnostic center will increase availability of carrying out highly technological method of diagnostics and decrease patients queue. First of all, outpatients will have possibility to use new equipment,” said Vladimir Stryuchkov.

According to the minister, the tomograph will work in two shifts, to receive coupons on inspection on new device people should visit their physician.

“There are 12 tomographs in region medical institutions now. In 2012 it is planned to establish similar devices in Penza city hospital №1 and Zemenchinsky regional hospital,” Vladimir Stryuchkov summarized.
