In Penza four surgeries opened operational, satisfying European standards

Penza, 2 March 2012. PenzaNews. Solemn opening of four new surgeries satisfying European standards took place in one of buildings of Penza regional hospital named after N.N. Burdenko on Friday, March 2. The governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev took part in the ceremony. Excursion to the surgery for the head of region was held by the head physician of medical institution Svetlana Mitroshina.

“More than 55 million rubles were spent for major repairs of 600 sq. meters and installation of modern equipment. All premises have special floor, wall and ceiling covering, allowing to lower risk of pollution,” she explained.

According to Svetlana Mitroshina, in the operational block the effective system of a filtration and the air conditioning is established, allowing to make 14-fold air exchange at an o'clock per all premises, and also to support the necessary humidity and temperature.

“For decrease in risk of pollution at an input in operational lock doors are established, to open which it is possible, without touching them a hand, and pendant consoles are fixed to a ceiling and don't concern a floor where microbes accumulate,” underlined the head physician of the hospital named after N.N. Burdenko.

She added that there are camcorders over each surgical table which allow to see in an enlarged view on the screen as takes place surgical intervention are established.

Vasily Bochkarev suggested videorecording of each operation that students of medical high schools could use it in the educational purposes and inspectors to establish degree of fault of the surgeon in case of unsuccessful operation.

“Even the doctor, looking through videorecording can analyze defects and consider errors in the work subsequently. Thus we can raise qualification of medical staff,” said the head of the region.

Vasily Bochkarev underlined also that surgeons should work in shifts 24 hours a day in new surgeries as it’s in foreign clinics.
