Penza resident complained on Andrey Makarevich’s song in regional election committee

Penza, 5 March 2012. PenzaNews. One of Penza residents taking part in voting on March 4 Russian presidential elections listened at polling station Andrey Makarevich’s song “Not Necessary to Cave in under Changeable World” and felt signs of illegal propaganda for Michael Prokhorov. That’s why he sent a complaint to regional election committee.

As the chairman of election committee of the region Nikolay Taktarov explained news agency “PenzaNews,” the man gave reason for the reference on the given fact that Andrey Makarevich is Michael Prokhorov’s authorized representative and thus, in his opinion, illegal propaganda for the businessman-independent candidate was organized at the polling station.

“We asked addressed to state in writing the claims then as have in written form prepared for it the answer, having explained that no propaganda in this song is present, as in the text the appeal doesn't sound to vote for this or that candidate,” said the chairman of regional election committee.

According to Nikolay Taktarov, one more reference which arrived in department concerned the propaganda banners which placed in streets of Penza and were not dismantled after termination of election campaign.

“There is a requirement that earlier placed printing propaganda materials, billboards, extensions can remain on the places. They should be placed not closer than 50 meters from polling stations,” the spokesman explained.

Besides, he added that the most part of telephone references in electoral committee concerned questions of organization of home voting and also reception of absentee of ballots on election day.

Nikolay Taktarov underlined that messages on infringements which could affect the will of voters weren’t fixed.
