Emergency medical service rendered to 189 thousand residents of Penza in 2011

Penza, 11 March 2012. PenzaNews. 188 922 thousand residents of Penza addressed in city station of emergency medical service in 2011.

According to head of the press service of Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Penza region Tatyana Manuhina, most of citizens complained on increase of arterial pressure and heartache, respiratory diseases and high temperature.

She added that first aid often is required in cases of trauma and toxication.

“In a day, we get about 550 calls,” the spokeswoman specified.

Tatyana Manuhina explained that now the city station of emergency medical service is presented by one central station and six substations working by regional zone principle and providing arrival of a brigade into place within 20 minutes after a call.

“The emergency medical service to the population of Penza is rendered by 22 medical brigades of the general profile and also 19 specialized brigades, such as cardiological, neurologic, traumatologic, pediatric, psychiatric and resuscitation,” said the representative of the department.

She added that coordination of brigades work is held by operation section equipped with an automated control system and physicians are delivered by new updated cars.

“154 units of motor transport had been bought for 2010 and 2011,” said Tatyana Manuhina.

As it was reported earlier, the pilot project which include the control office contacts the ambulance cars equipped with the specialized equipment for voice and visual communication and also by tablet computers for Internet access and coordinates their activity was started begun in the Penza region,.

Now the system passes approbation in Kamensk the area.

The main objective of the project cost 30 million rubles is to decrease arrival time of a brigade of physicians to the patient.

According to authors of an innovation, it is planned to be integrated with Service 112 system.
