Penza, 11 March 2012. PenzaNews. Frosty weather which was last two days in Penza, will last till Monday, March 12. According to forecasts from Sunday to Monday air temperature will be 20C below zero. In the afternoon on March 12 air will get warm up to 14C below zero and on March 13 the temperature will be 5C below zero.

Within March air temperature won’t be – 15C at night. It will possibly rise up to +2C…+4C in the afternoon.

The frosty weather which was in March in Penza extended on all territory of the Volga region. On the night March 11 in some regions of the Ulyanovsk, Samara and Orenburg regions air temperature fell down to – 30C below zero.

According to forecasts, such low temperature in the Volga region became possible because of tropospheric cold in a deep high-rise cyclone and cooling influence of ground crest anti-cyclone.
