Penza, 8 April 2012. PenzaNews. Penza Catholics celebrate Easter or Resurrection of Jesus Christ on Sunday, April 8. An Easter vigil was made in the Penza Catholic curacy the night before where there were about 30 people. The festive sacrifice began with Lucernarium. Father Yanez made a fire near the temple in which light was off and Paskhal, a big Easter candle was lit in fire. After that the priest together with parishioners came into the temple, proclaiming "Light of Christ".

Believers lit the candles from Paskhal, which light symbolizes Christian doctrine, urged to enlighten the world.
During the Liturgy of the Word nine bible readings were read: seven of Old Testament containing ancient Hebrew writings about the time before the birth of Christ and also the message of Apostle and the Gospel.
