Penza, 20 April 2012. PenzaNews. The teacher of Penza cadet school No. 70 became the winner of regional competition “Teacher of the Year 2012” and will take part in All-Russia competition which will be held in Moscow in September. The second place of a regional stage was taken by Olga Sviridova, primary school teacher of Penza school No. 7 and Anna Makarova, the teacher of Russian and Literature of Mokshan school No. 1. Natalia Prokopenko from Treskino and Lyudmila Yemelyanova from Lenino won the third place.

According to the rector of Penza Institute of Educational Development Gennady Belorybkin, pedagogical technologies have strongly changed in recent years, the field of teachers’ activity extended greatly and it is difficult to compare them today.

“One thing remains unchanged — the teachers with the burning fire in their souls came to the final. They splash out their energy on children, and their eyes light up, too. And this is the main thing in pedagogical process,” Gennady Belorybkin noted.

In total 24 teachers took part in the competition of 2012. Within two days, they introduced themselves, gave master classes and professional workshops. As a result, 8 people were in the final.

Following the results of the competition, the winner got a premium of 70 thousand roubles, silver medalists — 50 thousand roubles, bronze — 30 thousand roubles.

Penza branch of JSC “Rostelecom” was the partner of action. The representatives of the operator awarded Sergey Samodin, Olga Sviridova and Natalia Prokopenko with a TV, an electronic book and a smart phone.
