Penza, 20 April 2012. PenzaNews. 1 thousand 836 cases of respiratory virus infections are registered in the Penza region on the 15th week of 2012 that is by 23.1% lower the level of regional epidemic threshold. Besides, decrease by 4.1% was noted last week.

“High indicators of incidence remain in Nikolsky, Spassky, Kuznetsky, Kondolsky, Neverkinsky, Tamalinsky, Zemetchinsky, Mokshansky districts, Penza and Kuznetsk,” reported in Russian Agency for Health and Consumer Rights office across the Penza region.

Influenza was diagnosed in three cases, including one child.

“There were 782 cases of respiratory virus infections in the regional center within a week. The actual incidence is by 63.1% lower the level of epidemic threshold and 13.8% lower than last week,” stated in the press service.
