Penza, 24 April 2012. PenzaNews. There are 574 vacancies of doctors and 230 vacant positions of nurses in the Penza region. The deputy minister of health care and social development of the region Pavel Degtyar announced such data during the meeting with representatives of department, heads of the areas and chief physicians of health care institutions on April 23.

He specified that there is demand of general practitioners, 100 vacancies.

“We extremely need experts with higher medical education in Serdobsky, Penzensky and Kamensky areas where 29, 27 and 23 doctors are required respectively,” admitted Pavel Degtyar.

Speaking about a staff shortage in regional hospitals, the deputy minister emphasized that doctors are mostly required in the hospital named after N. N. Burdenko, children’s hospital named after Filatov, an anti tubercular clinic and regional center of specialized medical care.

“In relation to Penza hospitals, the greatest demand of medical staff is in clinical hospital No. 5, city dentist policlinic, hospital No. 4, first aid station and hospital of first aid named after Zakharyin,” the department press service quotes Pavel Degtyar.
