Penza, 2 May 2012. PenzaNews. ZIS car established at the entry to Potlovka village in the Penza region as a symbol of victory over fascism will be moved to the center of the village. Alexandra Belavkina, deputy head of Kolyshleysky district administration of Social Affairs reported about it on Wednesday, May 2.

“Now ZIS car is included in the regional register of monuments therefore even the owner of the land on which it is established cannot dismantle it. However, to avoid possible conflicts, the regional administration offered residents to move the exhibit to the village center,” the spokesperson explained.

According to Aleksandra Belavkina, the exact location of the monument and its pedestal will be defined by general vote at the meeting of local residents in Potlovka in the nearest future.

As it was reported earlier, the owners of the former state farm in Potlovka decided to dismantle ZIS car established on the entrance to the village as a symbol of a victory over fascism. However, when a few days ago trucks drove to the monument and workers started to produce manipulations with the base, local residents called for police who suspended the works.
