Penza, 5 May 2012. PenzaNews. More than 1.5 thousand patients with diabetes will receive medical care in the Penza region in 2012.

“34 million rubles were allocated for these purposes, 20.7 million rubles will be paid to doctors and nursers,” reported in the press service of regional Ministry of Health and Social development.

According to the department, about 38 thousand people have this disease in the Penza region.

“Every year about one thousand new patients with this disease are registered in the region and that’s why its treatment especially heaviest forms was chosen as a priority within the limits of the program of modernization of health care system,” informed in the press service.

Besides, nine federal standards of medical care of patient with cancer will be established this year.

“Totally 17 thousand people will be treated according to new standards in 2012,” reported in the department.
