Penza, 17 May 2012. PenzaNews. More than 380 people suffered from acarids in 2012 that is 130 cases more than for the similar period of the previous year.

According to the press service of the regional Office of Russian Agency for Health and Consumer Rights, 157 children under 14 age years suffered.

“164 ticks were checked on borreliosis, 158 of them were taken from people. There were 43 infected insects,” reported in the press service.

17 victims of acarids attack have been registered at Olimpic Alley as of May 17.

“Acaricidal processing is held on 23.5 hectares, including camps “Belka,” “Zarya,” “Chayka,” “Solnechnaya Dolina,” health resort “Niva” and holiday camp in the village Lipyagi of Spassky area,” added in the press service.
