Penza, 21 May 2012. PenzaNews. Preparation for the 350th anniversary of Penza is carried out at insufficient rates. Governor Vasily Bochkarev declared it during the operative meeting in the regional government on Monday, May 21.

“Only 14% of committed funds were used for anniversary preparation to date and only a year is left,” admitted the head of the region.

Vasily Bochkarev went on to say that beautification of Penza has not been paid much attention to in recent years.

“Roman Chernov has been the head of the city administration for seven years. During this time two main resting places of the city, Moskovskaya Street and Sura Embankment were not beautified,” said the head of the region.

Vasily Bochkarev emphasized that each resident of Penza should take part in preparation for the city anniversary celebration.
