Penza, 22 May 2012. PenzaNews. The head of Penza Ivan Belozertsev proposed to use alternative sources of water supply in the city, such as deep wells. He declared it during the regular session of municipal duma on Tuesday, May 22.
According to the mayor, similar sources can be used in new residential districts which are now under construction.
“If we do such deep wells in the houses, residents will be provided with pure water and “Gorvodokanal” load will decrease. Moreover, we have preserved wells which can be also used,” said Ivan Belozertsev.
He reported that the similar project has been already developed for sovkhoz “Zarya” district where land lots are provided for large families free of charge.
In turn, reporting about the measures of tap water purification, the head of the department of housing and communal services of Penza Alexey Agafilov explained that now “Gorvodokanal” introduces new technology with the use of powder coal.
“This technology will allow to remove natural and anthropogenic water smells, to reduce number of compounds and to improve other qualities. According to the experience of more than 20 cities of Russia, this method of cleaning is the most effective and safe for human health,” explained Alexey Agafilov.
