News agency “PenzaNews” got diploma of national competition “Power – Society – Media”

Moscow, 31 May 2012. PenzaNews. News agency PenzaNews got a diploma of the fourth national competition “Power – Society – Media,” organized by the Foundation for Information Policy Development in the nomination “Socially Oriented Projects” for effective realization of the charitable program “Equipment for the Benefit.”

The award ceremony took place in the Federation Council of Federal Assembly of Russia in the framework of the VI All-Russia conference of journalists “Information Partnership: Power – Society – Media.”

Stepan Kirichuk, Chairman of the Committee of the Council of the Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation for Regional Policy, Local Government and Northern Affairs, President of the Russian National Congress of Municipalities, and Svetlana Kolesnik, President of the Foundation for Information Policy Development, presented the editor-in-chief of news agency PenzaNews Pavel Polosin with the diploma of the winner of the competition.

Following the results of the competition, the jury also awarded the editorial office of “Penzenskaya Pravda” newspaper, which took the second place in the nomination “Feedback.” The Internet channel TV-Penza took the third place in the nomination “Socially Directed Projects.” The jury also awarded the Head of Information and Analysis Division of the Department of Information Policy and Media of the Penza region Anastasia Bayazitova for the organization of socially significant project in the field of media education of school students.

As it was reported earlier, the three-day VI All-Russia conference of journalists “Information Partnership: Power – Society – Media” ended in Moscow on Wednesday, May 30. About 80 journalists participated in the forum, they discussed topical issues and trends of Russian media market with well-known experts, visited the Federation Council where they met with the head of the upper house Valentina Matviyenko and a number of senators. During the meetings, the journalists made suggestions for improving the current legislation in the field of mass media.
