Penza, 4 June 2012. PenzaNews. The governor of the Penza Region Vasily Bochkarev charged the Minister of Finance of the Penza region Eugenia Krasheninnikova to put into the budget the funds to purchase laptops for schoolteachers.

The head of the region specified at the briefing on Monday, June 4, that all the teachers’ netbooks should be replaced with more powerful laptops during the period of 2013–2014.

According to Svetlana Kopeshkina, the Minister of Education of the region now teachers use about 10 thousand of netbooks.

As previously reported, more than 10 thousand netbooks worth 105 million rubles were purchased for the teachers of the Penza region in 2010. Computer equipment was distributed to schools depending on the number of students studing there.

Netbooks were transferred for teachers’ temporary free use. The advantage was given to those teachers who are PC advanced users. Teachers can use the netbooks at their own discretion: at home in preparation for the lessons, at school or extracurricular activities.
