Penza, 20 June 2012. PenzaNews. Staff of Municipal Unitary Enterprise “Zelenoye Khozaystvo” started to design flower bed “Penza is 349 years old” in March 8 Street.

As landscape gardening expert Igor Lavrentiev told news agency “PenzaNews,” the works would be completed within a week, until the end of June.

“Even now when it is 30C above zero the staff is planting flowers to create the flower bed as soon as possible. Then, every morning it will be watered,” he emphasized.

The flower bed was designed by Ekaterina Bakaeva and Karina Sherbinina, young architects of Municipal Unitary Enterprise “Zelenoye Khozaystvo.”

“Begonias, African marigolds, cinerarias and pyrethrums are used in the flower bed. These flowers will be planted to make the symbol of the city, dial, and the inscription “Penza is 349 years old,” clarified Ekaterina Bakaeva.

She added that designing of flower beds for the 350th anniversary of Penza had already begun.
