According to the head of Penza department of culture Vera Feygina, the current state of the park does not meet the needs of residents.
“Many of amusement rides are outdated, the youngest of them is more than 25 years old. For example, “Horses” has been operating for 55 years, “Daisy” – 30 years. The amusement park needs large-scale reconstruction,” Vera Feygina said.
According to her, reconstruction of the planetarium which needs about 85 million rubles is another unresolved issue. Moreover, the amusement park needs restoration of footpaths, lanes and planting new trees.
In the opinion of the head of Penza administration Roman Chernov, it is necessary to create a concept for the development of Central Recreation Park to make it a place for year-round family entertainment.
“Ski runs with jumps and slides for sledding can be created for winter activities lovers; as for summer activities, we can create a beach or water attractions area,” said the head of the administration.
