Penza rescuers went to Kuban

Penza, 11 July 2012. PenzaNews. On Tuesday evening, July 10 eighteen fire trucks of Russian Emergencies Ministry started off from Penza to Krymsk, Krasnodar Krai to eliminate the effects of flooding.

“We are on the way to help the people carry out rescue operations. The rescue crew was formed in Nizhny Novgorod, and we are growing strength on our way. In Penza, we were joined by two special vehicles and local rescuers, as well as rescuers from Ulyanovsk and Saratov. In total, 44 people are heading to Krymsk,” reported the Deputy Head of fire and rescue service of the Volga (Privolzhsky) Regional Emergency Center of Russia Andrey Abramov.

He added that the rescue crew is planning to drain the ground, disassemble obstructions, and assist the victims.

“We’ve got fire pumping stations at our disposal, which absorb water at a rate of 110 liters per second, and 18 motor pumps for target pumping,” he concluded.
