Zarechny, 13 July 2012. PenzaNews. A water park, which consists of a swimming pool and inflatable slides at various levels, was set in Central Park of Culture and Leisure of Zarechny, the Penza region.

As Svetlana Radyuk, Deputy Head of Administration on Cultural Affairs, Physical Education, Sport and Youth Affairs, told news agency “PenzaNews,” the installation of this entertainment facility was caused by the desire to make children’s vacation more healthy and beneficial.

“These attractions are surely useful for kids. There are no natural reservoirs in Zarechny and there are only two man-made ponds where since August it is forbidden to swim for the sanitary and epidemiological norms. But in the water park, the water is being cleaned and changed, allowing children to swim during the whole summer,” said Deputy Mayor of the city.

She added that the administration did not pursue the aim to get economic profit and stressed that it is not clear how fast the water park will pay off the installation.
