Penza, 13 July 2012. PenzaNews. In the Penza region during the period from late June to early July there were registered 56 incidents of mite bites, which is almost 2,5 times lower than in the previous year.

According to the press service of Russian Customer Service, the decline is also observed in the number of affected children under the age of 14.

In total, from the beginning of mite activation period in 2012 the medical institutions registered 1147 incidents, which is 102 incidents more than a year earlier.

As news agency PenzaNews previously reported, in 2012 one of four tested insects was diagnosed borreliosis.
