“We must find the means to equalize the average salary, taking into account the extension of teaching staff after the reorganization of the Pedagogical University. To do this, university chief accountants must share information on the financial economy now. We plan monthly salary increase from September 1, 2012 for teaching staff of Penza Pedagogical University, which has 511 people,” stated Vladimir Volchikhin.

First Vice-Rector of PSU Victor Mesheryakov reported that a part of the necessary funds for professor salaries could be found in the income of the current governing apparatus of Pedagogical University.

“We must wisely allocate additional fund. Administrative and managing personnel of PSPU is financed better than State University. Therefore, there is a proposal to consider transferring a part of administration additional fund to the faculty. We want to improve the quality of life for most employees of Pedagogical University. To do this, we ought to increase the minimum salary budget by 2–3 thousand rubles. It is about 1,5 million rubles costs monthly. By the end of the year we will be able to keep to this plan,” clarified Victor Mesheryakov.
