Nikolay Zavodovsky: 71 emergency warning sirens installed in Penza

Penza, 24 July 2012. PenzaNews. 71 sirens to alert people to an emergency established in the territory of Penza. This was announced by the head of the Department of Civil Defence and Emergency Situations of the city Nikolay Zavodovsky during a press conference on Monday, July 23.

According to him, the sound of blaring sirens at night may wake up the whole city.

“16 electric sirens have been installed this year. In the case of emergency, cars with loud-speaking devices will be sent to the remote places of the city. Besides there is a project according to which we plan to install loudspeakers especially in places which cannot be equipped with electric sirens,” emphasized the head of the Department of CD and ES.
