High-tech medical care became 7,5 times more available over past 6 years in Penza

Penza, 24 July 2012. PenzaNews. High-tech medical care provided to the residents of the Penza region with the use of complex and unique medical technology has become 7,5 times more available over the past 6 years. As reported the press service of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the region, this happened due to both increase in funding of HT medical care in federal hospitals, and the development of this kind of care in the regional hospitals.

“In 2005 high-tech medical care was provided to 512 patients, in 2011 — to 3922 patients. Since the beginning of the current year, 3896 patients are directed to HT medical care in federal hospitals, 657 of them are children. Over 2,3 thousand patients, including 330 children have already been treated with the help of high medical technology,” reported the press service.

In April 2012, over 28 million rubles were allocated from the federal budget of the Penza region for the provision of HT medical care in regional hospitals. About 50 million rubles were allocated for this purpose from the budget of the region.

“During 2012 high-tech medical care will be provided to 912 patients in the hospital named after N.N. Burdenko, City Clinical Hospital No. 5, Oncology Center and Eye Surgeon Clinic. Medical care will be provided in traumatology and orthopaedics, neurosurgery, urology, oncology, and ophthalmology,” added in the press service.
