Penza, 31 July 2012. PenzaNews. Madagascar lemur cub was born at the Zoo of Penza. The baby will be named after the vets identify its gender, which right now is hard to do. “Lemur’s gender has not been determined so far because it is still very small and all the gender characteristics are not vivid yet,” informed the deputy director of conservation and research activities of Penza Zoo Sergey Zubtsov.

He noted that the visitors of the Zoo may be involved in choosing the cub’s name.

“There is an idea to hold a competition among the visitors for the best name for the lemur cub. Besides, it is a good tradition of Penza Zoo,” pointed out the agency interlocutor.
