Penza, 1 August 2012. PenzaNews. About 30 young birches were felled in the recreation area “Health trail” in Penza. The cleared territory has been turned into construction site. According to information available to news agency “PenzaNews,” the place will be a private home ownership. At present, around the site a metal framework is erected intended for the future fence.

“The permission for felling is given by the administration of Penza, but this kind of documents have not been signed in the recent past for the area of Progulochnaya St,” reported the press service of the City Hall.

The administration clarified that the permission for felling can also be signed by Municipal Unitary Enterprise “Green property of Penza,” but only if the vegetation is deadwood.

The recreation area “Health trail” was opened on August 7, 1981, and is one of the most famous recreation spots in Penza. The length of the trail is 3 km.
