Representatives of the clergy and numerous parishioners attended the ceremony.

“The process of lifting the cross on the belfry is, of course, one of the most important stages of the revival of the Savior Cathedral. This day will enter the annals of bringing the Cathedral back to life,” stressed out the Metropolitan of Penza and Nizhnelomovsk Benjamin.

He added that a special role in the revival of the Savior Cathedral belongs to the Penza region authorities, constructors and parishioners donating money for the reconstruction of the Cathedral.
