Penza, 6 August 2012. PenzaNews. Over eight thousand people were granted the title “The Penza region Veteran of Labor” during the period from May to July 2012.

“As of August 2 we have considered 10,133 statements. Honorary titles have been awarded to 8,279 citizens, denials were received by 466 pensioners,” reported the press service of the Regional Ministry of Health and Social Development.

“A new draft of governor’s order “About awarding the title “The Penza region Veteran of Labor” has recently been prepared. It includes 1,849 people,” added the press service.

The department reminded that according to the law, the right of acquiring the honorary title belongs to the Russian citizens living in the Penza region, having worked for at least 45 years for men aged 60, and 40 years for women aged 55.
