Penza, 8 August 2012. PenzaNews. Vice-governor of the Penza region Vyacheslav Satin suggested the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the region building a plan of conceiving. He said this during a meeting on improving the demographic situation. “We need to look at the problem of improving the demographic situation fundamentally. We need a new ideology, a new methodological approach. We need to introduce a plan of childbirth, and even a plan of conceiving,” the press service of the Ministry quoted the official.

The Ministry noted that by Thursday, August 9 specialists from the Ministry of Health and the chief physicians of maternity health care institutions are to submit a list of candidates for the advisory council to implement the decrees of the president of Russia, including the improvement of demographic situation in the Penza region.

“For the first half of 2012 the birth rate in the Penza region grew by 7,8% — 508 children more were born. However, the number of abortions executed in private clinics, cannot have a positive impact on the number of babies born,” pointed out the press service of the regional Ministry of Health and Social Development.
