Penza search party discovered remains of 25 Red Army men in Belarus

Penza, 9 August 2012. PenzaNews. Penza field expedition, which conducts search operation in Rogachev district, the Gomel region of Belarus, found the remains of 25 soldiers of the Red Army of the Great Patriotic War period.

In addition, four military lockets were found, which will help to establish the names of the buried. A locket is a capsule containing a note with personal information of a soldier.

As the press service of the regional government told news agency “PenzaNews,” after the special preparations, search party members will start the procedure of reading the notes in the lockets.
