Penza, 13 August 2012. PenzaNews. Governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev decided to allocate 6.5 million rubles from the reserve fund of the regional government for in vitro fertilization of 50 couples.

As the press service of Ministry of Health and Social Development of the region told news agency “PenzaNews,” in 2011 there were 314 couples in need to resort to such a process and the federal hospitals have allocated 112 credits to the Penza region.

“175 women were sent for consultation to federal health care facilities, 112 of them went through in vitro fertilization, 63 patients were denied IVF due to the necessity of further examination and treatment,” explained Minister of Health and Social Development of the Penza region Vladimir Stryuchkov at the meeting on Friday, August 10.

According to him, 29 women got pregnant, 26 of who gave birth to 30 children, including four twins.

207 women were sent to federal hospitals for seven months of 2012, 98 of them had already gone through in vitro fertilization.

“Here it is – a plan of conceiving,” the press service of regional Ministry of Health and Social Development quoted Vladimir Stryuchkov.
