Penza, 13 August 2012. PenzaNews. Passengers of 24 Penza urban trolley buses, equipped with 3G Megafon routers, have downloaded over 65 GB of information since the beginning of 2012.

As PR manager of the Penza office of Megafon company Olesya Postnykh told news agency “PenzaNews,” 65 GB is approximately equal to 9.5 thousand downloads of music tracks or 4.5 thousand downloads of popular game Angry Birds, viewing more than 45 thousand web pages, or nearly four thousand hours spent on social networks.

“The unique project was initiated by Megafon and launched in Penza in November 2011. It is primarily aimed at creating more comfortable and attractive urban environment and, of course, has a positive effect on the image of Penza as a modern and mobile city. Right from the start, these trolleys have attracted the attention of residents and visitors of Penza, in particular young people. This type of transport immediately became more popular,” she said.

According to her, consumers of the advanced service provided by the leader of the regional mobile market appreciated the opportunity to “not just pass the time on the road, but to spend it usefully.”

“Up to five passengers of one vehicle can be online at the same time. The Internet connection speed in the zone of WiFi is up to 2 Mbps,” informed Olesya Postnykh.
