Concert in memory of Viktor Tsoi held in Penza

Penza, 16 August 2012. PenzaNews. Concert in memory of legendary rock musician Viktor Tsoi, organized by the regional committee of the Communist Party, was held at a rock cafe “Zakhvat” on Wednesday, August 15.

Penza band Prikhod Vesnu, band from Saratov 4etverty Veter, and Penza-kolyshleysky band Kron, performed about a dozen tracks of the band Kino and the songs of their own.
One of the honored guests of the memory evening was Vladimir Simagin, the deputy of the State Duma of Russia from the Penza region and a member of the CPRF.
He encouraged the youth to fight for their rights more actively and noted that the struggle against injustice and domination of the bureaucracy in the higher authorities was the leitmotif of the creative work of the legendary rock musician Viktor Tsoi.
Viktor Tsoi was a Soviet rock musician and artist. He was a founder and leader of the band Kino. He starred in several feature films.
According to the official version, on August 15, 1990, Viktor Tsoi fell asleep driving his car Moskvich-2141 (Lada Aleko) and at high speed collided with a bus near Riga. He died at the scene.
