Penza, 25 August 2012. PenzaNews. The second in this year’s campaign Blogger Against Trash was held in Penza in a wooded area near Lastochka hotel on Saturday, August 25.

About 40 people, including active Internet users, their families and representatives of public organizations and political parties, attended the event.

“We want to change the world, and our action is just another step towards good and eternal. We are glad to see more people today than last time, when we were also cleaning the territory near Lastochka hotel,” said Anton Kupryushin, the organizer of the action.

He added that a wooded area near TV tower would be cleaned in the framework of the All-Russian action Blogger Against Trash on September 8.

“There is Central Recreation Park named after V.G. Belinsky, University, market, residential district, hospital and military town near this area. Every day thousands of people walk there and the terrotory is much littered. We have already decided to work in teams of five there. Each team will collect only special kind of garbage: plastic, glass, metal, paper, and trash that cannot be sorted,” Anton Kupryushin stated.

He stressed that the effectiveness of separate waste collection was confirmed by the previous two events.

“After the first action we have taken away about 250 kg of plastic. It is as much as residents of five five-storeyed buildings “produce” for a week. The plastic was sorted by color and sent to Chaadaev plant where it was melted and used in the manufacture of different products,” he explained.
