Penza, 27 August 2012. PenzaNews. Nikolsky Technology College named after A.D. Obolensky received new equipment in the framework of a long-term target program “Complex modernization of vocational education in the Penza region 2011–2015.”

As reported by the regional Ministry of Education, now the college has a computer classroom with 15 workplaces and licensed software in computer science and drawing.

“College laboratory of electrical engineering and electronics, oven with adjustable temperature from 50 to 300 degrees, muffle furnace, laboratory two-chamber mill, tables, charts and posters on special subjects were bought for the college,” the ministry explained.

According to Viktor Kochetkov, Director of College, the labor market requires a new type of vocational education, which is caused by the need of professionals able to adapt to changing conditions.

“Improving the quality of education depends on the technologies, productive activities of educational institutions and strengthening the social partnership,” he said.

According to Viktor Kochetkov, the college entered into 18 agreements with companies, signed five contracts on social partnership with three employers, and contracts for training of skilled workers with their subsequent employment.
