Penza, 31 August 2012. PenzaNews. 17 cases of rabies of animals have been registered in the Penza region since the beginning of the summer, according to the operational forecast of emergency situations by the centre of management of crisis situations of the Ministry of emergency situations in the region.

According to the forecast, animals with rabies were found in 15 locations of nine districts: Zarechny, Serdobsk, Shemysheyka, Lunin, and in villages Kopovka, Vertunovka, Mantorovo, Pyasha, Tumaleyka, Gulenovka, Pokrovka, Staraya Kutlya, Zarechnoe, Zavivalovka, Pushanino, and Pokrovka.

Among the diseased animals there are 11 foxes, two elks and four dogs.
