Penza, 17 September 2012. PenzaNews. A resident of Penza Yevgeny Fedorov, who helped the police to arrest the criminal, was awarded a certificate and tickets to the Drama Theatre performance.

“An honorable certificate from the management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in Penza was granted for a heroic act, which is so rare nowadays. In addition, a representative of the Public Council, the head of the literary and dramatic department of the Drama Theatre Vitaly Sokolov presented Yevgeny Fedorov with theater tickets,” reported the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

The ministry explained that Yevgeny Fedorov rushed to catch the criminal, after the latter hit a woman, stole her belongings, and tried to escape.

“In order to catch the criminal I had to use fighting techniques. Then I handed him over to the police. I do not remember being afraid that the criminal might have a weapon. I did it, because my girlfriend could have been a victim too,” pointed out Yevgeny Fedorov.
